| I was also very pleased by this cover from 2008.
Warrel Dane really took this Sisters of Mercy song and put his stamp on it.
I'm a huge Sisters of Mercy fan. Have been for years. They are a very underrated and underappreciated band.
When I heard that Warrel was covering this song on his first solo album, that is all I needed to hear to buy the album ASAP! Plus I'm a Nevermore fan - so it was a win/win situation.
Warrel really let his darker, gothic side show on his first solo album. You could almost call it gothic metal. Though it's actually more power metal really.
Anyway, the cover. Warrel Dane - Lucretia, My Reflection. Tell me this cover doesn't RULE!!!

Best song on that album IMO. No signs of goth on this cover and thank god... Not a fan of Sisters of Mercy so this cover blew the original away.. |

I like Joe Jackson's "Look Sharp" album but after that, forget it. This version of Eleanor Rigby is just plain boring IMO. |
