| So I've already got Iron Maiden/Dream Theater in Detroit... Next week, I'll be buying tickets to Common Ground in July. It's a week-long festival here in downtown Lansing that's a pretty big deal. They've scored big acts like Sammy Hagar, Snoop Dogg, Sheryl Crow and STP in past years. They've had more but that's who springs to mind. Anyway, this year so far they've announced Alice Cooper and Tesla (Hagar is coming back too). I'm really excited because I've never gone to CG before because I didn't want to pay $30 for an "all day" pass (you can buy a week long pass but it's crazy expensive) when all I wanted to see was one band but luckily Alice and Tesla are playing on the same day. I've never seen Alice before (or Tesla for that matter) and I've been watching closely hoping he'd come to the area. It's gonna be a great weekend in July: Alice & Tesla on Friday night then Maiden & Dream Theater Saturday night. |

| I know, very wrong! I was really looking forward to seeing God Dethroned and Vader on that tour!
Wanted to see Overkill too, but I recently got back into them again. Haven't cared for them for the longest time. Their new album shreds though and to me they are finally back in true thrash form!!! |

| Mordor how was Porcupine Tree? I cant wait to see them live, but the venue they are playing at is not nearly good for them (Mr Smalls). Small cramped old church cleared out and the acoustics are flat. This will be tough for them to sound good like they do at many other places. I should have taken the trip to Ohio over the years and seen them in Agora Theater, that places is downright amazing for bands, the sound acoustics are top notch! |

| I want to go see Uriah Heep in one of their rare North American shows in June. But it's in Chattanooga, and I feel as though I will fall asleep at the wheel before I make it there. |

Yeah this will be my fourth time at DTE. These are GREAT seats! Any of the pavilion seating is pretty good though as long as you're not shoved off to the side. |

| I HATE being shoved off to the side at shows. Last time I saw Iron Maiden I made the mistake (had never been to the local ampi-theater before) of getting an extreme left side seat. I could not even see the stage except for on the screen! It sucked. I'll never make that mistake again. I'd rather be on the grass that shoved off to the side like that. This time I got front row, pit tickets to see Iron Maiden!!! This time will be the right time!!! |
