I think much depends on how my teams are doing, that being said...football.
One of two tie breakers: I will watch just as much college football as pro football. Would I ever watch just as much college baseball as pro baseball? The answer is emphatic no. Wisconsin hasn't had a college baseball team since Title IX came into play, so the only time I might watch college baseball is during the College World Series in Omaha. Then, I hear the ping of the bat, and I say to myself, this isn't baseball. This is glorifying .300 hitters who will struggle to hit .220 in AA baseball.
Second of two tie breakers: There is a 16 game season in the N.F.L. and a 13 game season in NCAA football if your school is lucky enough to get to a bowl game. That being said, I feel like every game is like a mini holiday during the season, with the playoffs, bowl game or Super Bowl being the major holiday. On the other hand MLB has a 162 game season, not including the playoffs,. Though I find myself watching many Brewer games, I don't feel compelled to see everyone of those games. The funny thing, I realize that my fandom really exceeds most in baseball, due to the fact that not many out there can say they've only seen one playoff appearance in 28 years, and YET their loyalty hasn't wavered. I'm pretty proud of that fact....
but in the end, football wins.
