I just found concept art for the Guardians (these are guys that tell the Green Lantern Corp what to do).

I am huge Green Lantern fan and I am looking forward to the movie. The movie is scheduled for next summer, is that correct Rex?

I think so manny, but I'm not real sure. It's definitely a ways off though.

This is the first I'm hearing of this movie. Have they cast Hal Jordan yet?

An actor by the name of Ryan Reynolds, I have never heard of him.

Looked up his film career in IMD, and I can safely say I have never seen any of his movies, I would sit thru the Wolverine movie I just have not gotten around to it yet, but most of his films look like steaming piles of dog turds.

Still maybe he is a better actor then the material he has choosen so far.


Freddy and Toho weigh in on this, I am not huge film buff like you two are, can this guy act?

He seems to be Hollywood's Golden Boy at the moment. He sorta reminds me of Dane Cook. Was tollerable early on in his career, then got overexposed/overhyped and became a smarmy douche. I've seen a few of his movies. As far as I can tell, he pretty much plays the same guy in every movie. Watch Van Wilder and he's that guy over & over.

As if I needed another reason to dislike this guy, I just read that he's married to Scarlett Johansson.



He doesn't deserve that.

Man, I hope DC/Warner Bros do not screw up this movie, I love the character but it is also a character that come off totally cheesey since he can make giant boxing gloves etc

Wasn't he in The Proposal? He was ok in Wolverine, he wasn't in it much which helps.

Reynolds is actually quite good, his best role was in that chick flick "Definitely Maybe" and that movie The Proposal with Sandra Bullock.

Green Lantern interests me more than Captain America/Thor.

This is the comic book movie I'm looking forward to most right now. I like Reynolds but I think it was a mistake he wasn't cast as Flash (another movie that should be getting prepped soon). He was rumored to be the Flash for years and then he gets the GL gig instead. Hal's a pretty boring guy, Reynold's personality matches up best with the Wally West Flash.

Well, he's had his own comic book for years, so there's bound to be something they could pull from.
