| Coming out the end of June. I'm stoked. Hope it's out in the states then.

| If it's like the last one, I'll probably pass. On the subject of Blind Guardian, I see that they've "remastered" their back catalog. Anyone check these out? Battalions of Fear and Follow the Blind would be ones I would consider getting, but not when there is so many other albums I'd like to get. Doesn't make sense to buy albums I already own. |

| I like all their stuff though I would like to hear them with more of the Imaginations side of things. |

I got them a long while ago. They sound pretty good. Those 2 albums are remixed and remastered as well and also Battalions has the Lucifers Heritage demos on there. They only remixed those 2 because they didn't have time to do them all, which is kind of stupid because they could have just released them in series or something. I would have loved to hear Tales From The Twilight World and Somewhere Far Beyond remixed._________________ |

I agree. Imaginations and everything before that were killer! |

| I sincerely hope this new album is not like the last one in the slightest. If it is I will give this a pass. I love Blind Guardian but the last album is almost total "meh" music to me. |

| yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh everybody hates the last one they put out..even though it's way more solid than 'A Night at the Opera'...has better production....better artwork...better everything pretty much...., yeah, so I find their most recent one to be one of their most refreshing and one of their best. My other favorites are 'Tales From The Twilight World', 'NIME' and 'Imaginations'. I guess I'll never get the hate towards 'ATITM', there's only say 2 songs on it that I don't really really enjoy (Another Stranger Me, blah, and the last song).
Gonna get the new one... |

| I've loved the last 3, NIME being more or less tied for 1st place on my all-time, any genre list. Bring on Blind Guardian! |

| I haven't like anything BG has produced since NIME. If I want to hear Queen, I'll listen to Queen dammit. Go back to the Imaginations sound... _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

That's definitely a selling point right there. I can finally own those demos "legally."
And, I don't hate A Twist in the Myth, it's a good album, but I prefer their material pre-NIME |

| You're all crackheads."A Night at the Opera" was BG's magnum opus, their orchestral brilliance shines through in high-end treble. "And Then There Was Silence" is one of the greatest songs in the history of human history,14 minutes of layered chorus madness, half of Reign in Blood but seems twice as short, an ironic emotional journey of triumphant victory, the end of the rainbow, the entrance to true heaven, with none of the Christian vindictiveness of,say, Trouble's earliest work. The production is overblown and pompus like a Liza Minelli showtune extravaganza. This is music for the hidden drama queen inside us all. Sometimes when listening to this epic, I lift my arms towards the heavens, the sun cascading all over my hair, doing scissor-kicks amongst the fruited plain, glorious mountains in purple prose, a revelation to us all! |

An addendum: 'And Then There Was Silence' is one of the best BG songs and one of the only good things on that steaming pile. The End |

| I really like Twist in the myth a lot. I liked the 70s influence and they did a good job molding it together. _________________ |

Yes. I for one agree. 'Course, I like everything they've done. Though "A Twist in the Myth" was a low point. The vocals were amazing, and I like the album, but I find it doesn't hold my attention as well as previous albums. So why does everybody hate "A Night At the Opera?" |

| It's about damn time! I've liked everything I've heard from Hansi and company (though nothing measures up to the greatness of NIME) but I agree the last two have been the weakest. |

| The new album will have a song inspired by Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time. Nothing else need be said. |
