Great score and price for that one!

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Mine thinks it's rude to haggle. Cool haul, I'd say you got a bargain anyway. Always loved that Poe - Hello record. What were the condition of them? I have just about given up on yard sales since they are usually scraped/scratched to death.
From ZIA Records Cathedral - The Guessing Game & Garden Of Earthly Delights Triumph - Rock & Roll Machine (anyone know what the difference is between the reissue and the original - the track listings each have one different song? Is it just a title thing?) Xentrix - Scourge Demolition Hammer - Necrology anthology |

I know what you mean though. I checked them before hand because sometimes it looks like people clean their cds with rocks haha._________________ |

| Went to Orlando this weekend to watch my son's band perform at the Florida Battle Con. Stopped at a pretty cool used record shop called Rock N Roll Heaven (est in 1976). Unfortunately, they didn't have much of a hard rock and metal selection. I picked up the following for a total of $19.98 plus tax:
Tangier - Stranded Twisted Sister - Still Hungry Kansas - Triple Feature (Kansas, Masque, Monolith)
Masque is one of my top three favorite Kansas albums.

In The Battle is great, but right now, I am lovin' Hell Blade. I really think the songwriting and production is their absolute best. Even the art work is totally cool. IMO, it's the most complete package Saint has ever released, and it will be at the top my list for 2010. |

| Hahahaha I always like/hated tool. After years of not paying any attention to them at all I heard Vicarious and really liked the song. So much that I went out and actually bought the album and thought it was pretty good. I since bought everything else. I don't know what bothered me so much about them so long ago. Maybe my brother did it because he would play them non stop and it seemed like everyone in the world liked tool back in high school and I just had to be different haha. I like them now though. _________________ |

The problem people have with Tool is that they try to judge them by metal or some casual rock standards. I find that this does not work with Tool - people expect rock onslaughts of riffs from those guys and while in the beginning of their sound this might make some sense now it just does not. Sure they bring on the heavy sometimes and when they do it's rockin' as all hell but I just find them a intricate, progressive if heavy on the ambiance rock band. Kinda like a modern King Crimson - it can be heavy but it's also spacey, atmospheric and mellow. |
