Still watching my Drew Carey bootlegs. One disc kept freezing every 10-15 seconds and the one after that wouldn't play at all but you get what you paid for and if I can't enjoy every episode then at least I can enjoy most.

The 2009 Wonder Woman animated movie. It was okay, I think the animation wasn't up to part with what DC animation usually has.

Watched Bedtime Stories with the kids. I liked it.

Saw most of Ghostbusters on TV last night, for the first time in decades! Unfortunately I got so tired I didn't finish it, but I "taped" it so I can watch the rest soon-ish.

I watched that a few months ago. It was okay but I couldn't help but feel like something was "off" about it.

I have some friends that think the only 2 movies made during the 80's were Repo Man and Blue Velvet.

Very Happy

"The Terminators" -- another one of those hilariously bad "Mockbuster" knock-offs from The Asylum, this time it's an extremely low rent ripoff of "The Terminator" (in case the title wasn't a dead giveaway) with some bits stolen from "Battlestar Galactica" thrown in for good measure.

Surprisingly enough, this one actually started off pretty promising, with a couple of decent action scenes and some halfway cool (by Asylum standards anyway) outer-space special effects. Once the opening was out of the way though, it went back to the usual Asylum formula, i.e. unlikable characters endlessly bickering with one another as they travel through a continuing series of cheap sets.

Absolute classic that stands the test of time. I'd watch it with my Dad when I was a kid, and we went to see the remake at the theater.

Watched this one with my kid. Proving that the old(er) movies knew how to has atmosphere and tone, my oldest kid was scared to death by this one, but not by many of the modern flicks that rely on gore and noise.

DOUBT - damn FANTASTIC movie, an acting tour de force for all involved. Amy Adams is still gorgeous even when wearing a Nun's habit.

The scene where they're in the farmhouse and one of the Martians sneaks up on the heroine and lays its hand on her shoulder is uber-creepy.

Agreed. I recently saw this as well. Great acting, ditto on Amy Adams (The Hot Girl, on episode 6 of The Office).
