The thing for me is, Ronnie didn't pass away overnight. His illness was known for a long time, and eventho it wasn't announced publicly i'm pretty sure it must have been known how serious, or even terminal it was.
The sole idea someone would start writing a tribute while the guy was still alive and announce it before he wasn't even put to rest is kinda disturbing to me and really invokes doubt to the real intentions behind it. Just saying you know, I'm no one to judge anybody after all. |
This thing was started in December of 2009. Jorn had the Dio's onboard for the "project" all along. He met with Wendy and Ronnie to talk about it. The album was set for a May/June release, and even though everyone knows that cancer can be fatal, there are also many people who survives from this. So it was not his planned to colide with this tragedy. It was a weird coincidence of sorts.
I also believe that Frontiers have donated to the cancer fund.
Why do you think it was Jorn that was invited to play with the remaining members of Heaven & Hell at the upcoming memorial concert?_________________  |

Thanks for the info MM. I did pay $45.55 thrugh the official website. I've e-mailed few days ago already, but no response. I'll give them another week and then will try again

I was just saying man. If Dio's family is endorsing it, more power to Jorn. |

| I finally bought this album and i love it. JORN does a great job on all the cover songs, and its nice to see he does covers of the more rare DIO songs like SHAME ON THE NIGHT, PUSH, SUNSET SUPERMAN etc...I like the SONG FOR RONNIE JAMES a lot too. A real buy or die album. |

| Funny thing. I just received my copy, which is on Scarecrow Records (Brazil), a legal license from Frontier Records. And the album name is not "Dio" but "Song For Ronnie James". Did they change the name of the album just for Brazil? The album rules anyway, even though I'd have like a bit less Holy Diver stuff and some more Last In Line or others... |
