I'm an utter geek. I love Star Trek. And I think Wonder Woman is hot.

I saw my first love watching the Dukes of Hazzard. No, it wasn't Daisy, though she was hot. My first love was the General Lee.

Sales office for a newspaper/media conglomerate. When I first started w/the company years ago I used to have to run around assisting sales reps, dealing with customers, etc., now I sit in a windowless room by myself, listening to metal and posting on H.O.M. all day and I only have to deal with behind-the-scenes stuff (data entry, etc.).

Ha, same here.

Err... I love country music, hardly wear bandshirts, enjoy going to bars/clubs more than going to metal concerts (it depends on the band though, but still), and eh... that's about it I guess.

I like to draw insects, especially good at drawing flies.

I collect pens, still trying to find a pig pen that I can sign a check with.

I collect earwax and boogers. Have em catergorized by date and shape. Have two boogers from the same month that are shaped like Texas. I have a chunk of ear wax that looks like the Empire State building. My favorite ones are my twins...One is a booger, the other earwax. They look exactly alike except for the color. Stuck my finger so far up my nose once, thought I was gonna pull out some earwax.

I like to ride bikes... I have GT Richochet, a 64' FL shovel/pan (restoration project) and a 2008 Harley Crossbones.

This is just a wild guess but I'd say the main difference is they dress funnier. Laughing

I'm no expert, but vintage baseball is vintage, which isn't something non-vintage baseball can say it has going for it.

Whatchoo talkin'bout exact? That ole skool yellow-and-brown color combo be PIMP STYLIN' yo!

...but when I saw Scott's pic of the "Olde Timey Base Ball" team in their overalls and high socks, I thought it was a pic of Dexy's Midnight Runners. They look like they're ready to bust into a spirited rendition of "Come On Eileen" any second now.

We play by 1860's rules (We used to play by 1883 rules, which is one of the eras our Historic Village portrays. 1883 is much closer to modern baseball rules. However, 1860 rules are easier and safer for the novice, the old, etc...to perform)

Amongst the biggest differences:

1) No called balls or strikes...only warnings for wasting good pitches, or purposely pitching bad balls

2) All pitches are underhand

3) A ball caught on one bounce is an out

4) No gloves (the ball is somewhat softer. Still same size and weight, but not as rock hard as a moder ball. Though at first, until it's been whacked a few innings, the ball will be pretty hard.)

That's some of the biggest differences.

outside of the gloves, it reminds me a little of softball with the pitching.

Yeah, it's very similar pitching wise. It's a hitter's game. Getting a hit is harder because of the "one bounder" rule (you can cover an amazing amount of ground even on a long shot after it's bounced. That one bounce changes everything)

If you ever met me in person, especially at my job, you would never guess I harbor a dark side! I am a high school choir director, have short hair, and wear a tie most days (casual Fridays are awesome! ) I also enjoy animated movies (teared up at the end of Toy Story 3!) and I read a lot. I like to write and arrange music for various choral ensembles, especially my vocal jazz group. I also direct the spring musical at the school, so I am somewhat familiar with the world of Broadway!

I do that often with those kind of movies, like last night with Despicable Me. Although I rarely admit it, instead I claim that it's allergies .
