Wasn't it owned by the guy who started Metal Blade Records? |
I believe you're thinking of Johnny Zazula, who started MegaForce Records. He was a flea market record dealer in Jersey at one time (not sure if Pennsauken is where he was located though). He also ran a record store in Clark called "Rock N Roll Heaven" back in the day.
Brian Slagel (Metal Blade) has always been based in California as far as I know... |
Right. You are correct. It was Johnny Zazula I was thinking of. |
I have no idea who owned the place at Pensauken. Coulda been Johnny Z for all I know. That was a looooong time ago. I think the Pensauken Mart is a Walmart now. Or maybe an industrial complex. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| Killer Metal Church bootlegs Locky!! I remember coming across that HEADBANGER BATTALIONS one in stores a few times back in the day but have never seen the others. Ult -- betcha that Leathur Records version of TOO FAST FOR LOVE is worth some coin, huh? | Billroxx wrote: | | Although I am jealous and cant compete with Scott... |
Don't feel bad. I don't think ANY of us here can compete with Scott. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

I have no idea how much that Crue record is actually worth. My copy is still sealed and will remain that way. It's more of a collector's item than anything I would actually play.
Uncle Saxon probably has me beat. Wargod might have me beat too. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Some more random 45's. The Black-N-Blue single is a promotional freebie that I got by sending in a coupon from "Circus" magazine. The Metal Hammer EP obviously came with a copy of the magazine, circa 1988 or so. "Stars" is, of course, RJD's classic famine relief tune. I was a cheap bastard and didn't wanna buy the whole Hear-N-Aid album since most of it was previously released material, so I just bought the single. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

| Carnivore's RETALIATION and Realm's ENDLESS WAR. I bought the Realm LP used and was surprised to find a press release, some promo clippings, and an 8x10 photo of the band inside the sleeve when I got it home. Last I looked, the clippings and the press release were still in there but the 8x10 has disappeared. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"
