American Soldier is decent...probably the best post-DeGarmo album, actually. Although over time, OM:2 is catching up to it for me. I don't know why, but some of the songs on that one struck me finally after watching the live versions on DVD a couple weeks ago...

And to answer someone's inquiry about Rage For Order having "dance" elements? Not really, but for it's time, it utilized electronic and computerized sounds quite a bit...Nikki and I used to call that album something of a precursor to Industrial Metal...

This was a cool thread. I didn't comment on it much (if at all) since I know next to nothing about Queensryche and only have their first 4 albums, all purchased in the last two years or so.

A lot of you guys seemed to have a lot of insight as to what was going on with the band at particular points as well.

Take Cover was a blind purchase when I saw it in Walmart for $7.99. It would be the first Queensryche album I've actually paid for since Hear in the Now Frontier. I like cover albums and this one was right up my alley. I liked the song selections for the most part. They went for some different choices, allot of which I wasn't familiar with in their original form. So for that alone, I give 'em props.

I kinda like American Soldier. It was another free promo copy given to me but I quite enjoyed it. I'm not sure that I would've bought it, but I don't find it boring. Certainly not like the Queensryche of old, but not bad either.
