I N - Q U E S T - Your guidance in subsonic collapse -
A postmodern, extreme metal act with a strong hypnotic touch

“Our festival showed: heavy, thrash, black, folk, gothic, death and IN-QUEST!”
(quote from a Belgian metal support forum)

This quote proves that IN-QUEST is a band hard to describe and categorize. Being active more than ten years in the underground scene, the band gradually chose to leave it's praised cult Grind/Death status behind, taking a new path and evolving to a whole new level of musical maturity, lyric wise and image wise.

The one constant IN-QUEST have maintained during this musical challenge is the completely diverse sound that refuses to accept standard categorization. People have described it as an enlightened form of Technical Death Metal. All put together, IN-QUEST manages to create a pounding vibe of modern, melodic energy while maintaining an intense level of technical creativity not easily found elsewhere.

For fans of Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Textures, Cynic, Scarve, Mnemic, Fear Factory, The Dillinger Escape Plan,...

As an appetizer for a new album we've uploaded a self-made video for our interpretation of 'Corridor of Chameleons', originally by Meshuggah. We've played this song live for many years and recorded it during the 'Made Out Of Negative Matter' sessions. The track can be found on our vinyl release 'The Liquidation Files' with ao the new rendition of 'Stahlmacht'. The vinyl EP is still available HERE at our webstore.

--Brutal.Abstract.Melodic - IN-QUEST strikes back with "8 - The Odyssey Of Eternity"--

Chapter VIII
We are proud to announce that our new album, entitled "8 - The Odyssey Of Eternity" will see the light of day in the spring of 2013! We sweated our asses off but it's all coming together now! Can't wait to share our new material with you all!

Quote :
Commented IN-QUEST guitarist Douglas Verhoeven: "As the world didn't perish in 2012, we are back celebrating our existence' eternity with a massive concept album. For over a year, these songs and themes have been distilled and purified into perfection where everything is connected. I am proud to finally come out with the first of news about our new album. A dense, catchy, polyrhythmic eight-string cyclic opus which will for sure surprise a lot of our fans. A new sound, a redefinition or our core elements, and for sure a new form of aggression. Technical, rich and thick with typical IQ bombastic riffing, lyrical insanity and hypnotic melody work. Think heavy... beyond heavy! Insiders have claimed the new album to be the missing link between 'The Comatose Quandaries' groove and 'Made Out Of Negative Matter' compositional/technical prowess, all wrapped into one big insane ride."

8 - The Odyssey of Eternity track listing:

Act 1 ∞ Enter Eternity of Lethargy
Act 2 ∞ Taedium Vitae
Act 3 ∞ Elliptical Orbits in Disbelief
Act 4 ∞ Reiterated Cycles of Celestial Spheres
Act 5 ∞ Neo-Pseudo Existence
Act 6 ∞ Infinite Sleep for the Hollow
Act 7 ∞ The Algorhythmic Alignments
Act 8 ∞ Yearn to Return [liquidation fails]

Chapter VIII; behind the scenes
Because we can't wait to hear your thoughts about the new stuff, we decided to give you a sneak peek of what's coming! Watch the creation of "8 - The Odyssey of Eternity" in these webisodes featuring behind-the-scenes footage!

Back To The Future Part 2
A while ago we wanted to thank all our fans for their patience and support, as a gift from us to you, please enjoy our full show at Graspop Metal Meeting 2009 on Youtube!
