Then he takes other medication for pain, so that becomes a rut, because he's an addict. He takes pills that would make you and I fall down, but when he falls down, because of his brittle bones… you know what I mean. So now he's got this damage, this stuff attacks your pancreas, your intestines, all kinds of stuff… and now that's starting to happen. So we're just hoping that this is his bottom, and that he does get well. He's admitted that this is the reason, that's a good start. So we're finishing out our obligations for these shows and then we'll see where we are at next year and how he's doing and if it looks like he's coming back. He seems to be optimistic and he wants to get better so time will only tell if he's going to get sober, get well, get skinny, and go out and be the rock god that he is or is he gonna become this other guy that just lays there ill. I don't understand. Like I said, addicts are different. Some need to die before they get it. Some get it sooner. Hopefully this is enough for him to wake up and change his life because that's what we're hoping for.

Man, that is too bad.

That sucks! Drug and alcohol addiction sucks! I have friends that suffer from it and I know it's a daily battle for them.

That's a shame that Mark has to call him out in public like that too, but maybe that's what Jack needs. A little "tough love".

On a side note, who'da thunk that Jani Lane would step up to the plate like this? I'd almost expect their situations to be reversed.

How long can Jani last? I wouldn't count on him for very long and I hope Jack can get through this.

Even if he can't sing another note ever, I hope Jack gets his health in order.

I would think Jani can handle something like this just fine. He's helping out someone else and it's not "his show", so there's no real pressure on him...it's like singing for his supper in a cover band.

I wonder if Jack's problems got worse after the nightclub tragedy? Feelings of guilt and whatnot.

As long as Jani's "supper" isn't a pile of blow and a bottle of Jack. While the pressure might be off of him for the gig, he could easily start having too much fun.

I am not much of a fan of Great White and even less of a fan of Warrant, but I do hope he gets better.

Hey I've been where 1000's have been the one thing I did is got sober and have been for 20 years now. It is hard for alot of people and some never get sober and some die. My dad died and alcoholic and he was a mean one thus we never got along and he has been dead for over 25 years now.


So I know what he is going thru it is hard to get clean and stay clean.

Sad but he's been abusing his body for so long its gonna shut down very soon.

Ok i agree, seems rather pointless

It sucks but you can't live the way Jack Russel has been living and not have it somewhere down the line affect your health, unless you are Keith Richards that is.

That's why I didn't win that audition in 85'.

I had quit partying... at least that was my closest shot to being on a major label. Oh well.

Get better bud, no matter what the cause. Like why should that even matter?
