"The Cave" -- slow moving, not very shocking shocker about a team of underground explorers/divers who encounter hungry mutations in a Romanian mountain cave.

Sorta like a watery, more high-tech, but less interesting version of "The Descent."

I absolutely hated that movie. So much so that I sold it.

The Descent II looks like a masterpiece compared to The Cave.

I saw "The Cave" prior to seeing The Descent. It's basically just a slightly larger budget variation of your average Sc-Fi channel movie. It ain't art, but I enjoyed it. I saw it in the theater which probably helped.

Either way, in the Battle of the Cave Creature Movies, "The Descent" totally smoked "The Cave." No contest.
