| Just saw the Forbidden show in Ramona CA near San Diego.
A loser band named Deception (fitting name btw)... was scheduled to open but backed out of the gig without contacting the promoter, so that band will be blacklisted from most clubs in the SoCal area...
Mutants of War was up next and did a great job playing some new tunes mixed with some of their older songs. They did a cool cover of Motorhead's Ace of Spades. Their singer is the same guy that has filled in for Bonded By Bloods recent tour... They are a promising young thrash band!
Bonded By Blood went on next. It was the first time i seen them and i was impressed... the music was tight as hell and their current touring singer did a great job. I will be looking forward to their music in the future!
Next was Gamma Bomb from Ireland. They are a cool punk/thrash type band... the singer is a little goofy but they had a fun set. other than Forbidden, they had the most crowd interaction. The lead guitarist was interesting, his playing was all over the place but really cool.
Evile took the stage next and tore through some cool songs from their two current albums. They played pretty tight like on their albums but i noticed the singer seemed a little under the weather vocal wise... I learned some of the bands were fighting a cold. The drummer hit hard and was cool to watch also.
last but not least was Forbidden. They played some songs from their new album which sounds excellent and assorted crowd favorites from their first three albums. Craig their guitarist was under the weather but did a great job as did Steve Smyth. The new drummer is fitting in the band nicely also. Russ avoided going for his trademark high pitch wailing but otherwise did a great job. |

| Personally, I thought Gama Bomb blew everyone off stage. But I had already hooked up with a chick and left half way through Forbidden, so...
I really hope bonded by Blood keep that singer. I thought he was a perfect fit. |

Gamma was cool... the lead guitarist had a unique style.
