Five bucks each from the FYE fire sale:

2-disc 20th Anniversary Edition. This is my fave movie of all time and I've been dying to upgrade the barebones DVD I have. This disc is the "uncut" version of the film that previously was only available on the (much more expensive) Criterion Collection edition. So I'm doing the Happy Dance of Cheese right now. :cheese:

Best Giant Robot Movie Ever. Screw "Transformers."

Heard this one was awful, but I'm an Indy fanboy and I haven't seen it yet so how could I resist for five bucks???

This movie was never made..... No really it doesn't exist, so I do not know how you found a 4th Indy movie.

Remember, you're talking to the guy who plans to go back and finish "Battlefield Earth." I can put up with a lot. Laughing

One of my all time faves as well (I like Verhoeven's movies, well most of them). I have the criterion collection edition. Does this one offer anything different?

Is it really that bad? I too am an Indy fanboy, but never saw this last one. I really dislike that Shia poofster, so that's kept me away this long. Love the original trilogy though.

I never had the Criterion DVD so I don't know what the differences are. According to the back of the box of the one I just bought (which is actually a metal can, how bad a$$ is that? Haha!), Disc 1 is the Theatrical version of the movie plus a bunch of other stuff: three featurettes ("Flesh and Steel: The Making of RoboCop," "Shooting RoboCop," and "Making RoboCop"), a segment on the storyboarding of "The Boardroom" sequence, commentary by Verhoeven, deleted scenes (!!) Photo gallery, Trailers, TV spots, etc.

Disc 2 is the Unrated version of the movie plus featurettes called "Villains of Old Detroit," "Special Effects Then and Now," and "RoboCop: Creating a Legend."

I'm stoked to start geekin' out on all these extras!! The previous DVD I had of the movie had none of this stuff.

I've seen "Manos," it was on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" many years ago. The presence of Mike and the 'bots was the only thing that made it watchable.

It aint that bad as long as you look at it as mindless fun and try not to compare it to the previous ones. I watched it after not having watched the origionals in about 5 years.

I bought the dvd of INDIANA JONES when it came out and when i watched it for the first time i didnt like it (and i even didnt understand it very well) but the second time was a lot better already. Not a bad movie at all only the storyline is not very strong.

I have a hard time with the 4th Indy movie - I have had a lot of time to watch the first three and probably like Star Wars, no matter what they came up, it wouldnt compare to the first three.

Believe me, I am the same. After Star Wars, the Indy movies are my favorite movie series. And I was so stoked when they announced that the 4th film would be done like the "old" times, on locations! And the movie starts just fine.... But when from the first scene with the grey skull, it's all downhill....

One of my greatest finds was a Robocop Criterion for 4.00 at a used store in a college town (hooray for kids selling their things for beer money). Might be the only time I ever saw something in a store and let out a loud uncontrolled expletive of joy. My joy became even greater at the perfect condition the disc was in. And this was back in 2000.

I thought Indy 4 started with a lot of promise. Then it just dragged and never seemed to end. I did like when Karen Allen popped up though.

Picked up a ton of blu-rays in Hastings 40% off plus buy another for a buck sale. Also found an OOP blu-ray of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Now I just have to find the time to watch them all.
