| Time for another poll and while I know we have already had a few KISS polls so far, I think it's time to settle an age ol debate: Lick it Up vs Creatures of the Night?
For me:
- Creatures seems to have more songs people know like the title track and War Machine, however it also has quite a few of less memorable songs.
- Lick It Up sounds more consistent with nearly every song sounding more memorable than on Creatures. The songs are also heavier and more anthemic than on Creatures. A further distinctive feature is that both Gene and Paul are seemingly given more equal time on the mic than on previous KISS albums. It seems that Gene sings every other song on the album.
So while Lick It Up does sound more commercial than Creatures, indeed it is where they ditched their make-up it is also a more well rounded album. Lick It Up for me also represents the last really great KISS album for a long time. The albums that followed each tried to copy Lick It Up / Creatures, and most ended up sounding like 2nd rate, watered down versions of those albums.
I'm really curious to hear your opinions. |

| Creatures of the Night.
The title track, I Love It Loud and War Machine alone make it better. It's probably their most metal sounding album... |

| CotN wout a doubt. strong and heavy songs, carr's drumming, heavy sound, raw look, more enthusiasm. LIU more commercial for radio/tv, pure for $, gettin commercial for MTV and for bucks, that's clear. |

| Love them both, but went with Creatures. It's a solid album from front to back...Creatures of the Night, I Still Love You, War Machine, Killer, I Love It Loud, etc. This would be a cool album for them to play the entire thing live. Eric Singer could even wear the fox make-up in honor of the late, great Eric Carr. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| "CREATURES" I like the riff on "Keep Me Comin" and "Danger" is a great song as well. Paul's vocal on "I Still Love You" blows anything away from "Lick It Up" (IMHO) _________________ |

| Yea Creatures for me too. Once the Make up came off they went a little more commercial and very cheesey sounding. My favorite Make up less Kiss albums are Animalize and Crazy Nights. _________________ |

| This is a fan made collage, hence the bad picture/audio synch. No real promo will leave the TV channel logos unedited. |

Those are good songs but next to Love it Loud or Creatures of the Night they are ok, honestly most of that album is better than those songs from Lick it Up |

| Lick It Up has a few real stunners, especially if you dig a slightly more glam sound, but I think it's safe to say Creatures is the more consistent album all around. No one wants to hear 'A Million To One' or 'Dance All Over Your Face' that often. |

| Went with "Creatures" here. Title track, I Love It Loud, War Machine, and arguably their best ballad, and one of Paul's best performances, I Still Love You. The tunes I didn't mention are only slightly less strong. |
