| Steel Aggressor hails from Indiana and delivers a compact punch of classic power-speed metal in the vein of the olde. If 80s German speed metal with a dark fantasy flare is your game, and bands like early Blind Guardian, Paradox, Angel Dust, Vendetta, Iced Earth, etc. still bring goosebumps to your skin, then look no further. | The music is quite cool too, should be right up the alley of early Blind Guardian, Iced Earth (Burnt Offerings circa) fans. |

| I threw Steel Aggressor in the old search engine and saw this thread show up. Bought this in the mid summer from the Heaven and Hell Records site and play it somewhat often. Solid, solid stuff that definitely has that vintage German speed sound to it; at least in a majority of the tunes. Track 4 (title track) has a more traditional metal feel to it (the vocals?) but really does not seem that far off from the rest of the album; probably because it speeds along at a clipping pace as well. Great catch on the band. Artwork slays.
Cannot wait to hear what they come up with next. |
