| I voted for Taking Over. (that was tough choice)
Special props to "Whiplash - Ticket To Mayhem".
EXTRA special props to Celtic Frost - Into The Pandemonium, a masterpiece that was a good 15 years ahead of it's time.

| "Taking Over" was my 2nd choice. That's a great album and really underrated.

| Now this was tough. Taking Over and The Legacy were both my intros to the respective bands, and somewhat ironically, I bought them together as well! Both albums are fantastic and still my favorites from each band. In the end though, I decided I'd go with The Legacy. The Legacy is nearly 100% flawless in my book, I can always throw it on and listen all the way through without getting bored for a single second. One of the best thrash albums ever. Actually, at this moment I'm wearing the Legacy shirt I bought from the show last year where I got to see this album played in its entirety! Also a shout out for Unstoppable Force! |

| Testament! Their debut is a near perfect record IMO. |

| I might have spun Garage Days a little more, but Anthrax's "Among the Living" was my introduction to the band. I think "Spreading the Disease" would probably be my favorite among Anthrax albums, but it kind of goes back and forth with this gem.
1. Anthrax - Among the Living 2. Metallica - Garage Days Re-Revisited 3. Exodus - Pleasures of the Flesh (My introduction to this band was with this album as well) 4. OverKill - Taking Over (Ditto with this album as well) 5. Death Angel - The Ultra Violence 6. Testament - The Legacy

| I voted for Kreator!! I think TC often gets overlooked compared to its predecessor, although their song-writing improved drastically with this album. "Behind the Mirror" is by far one of THE darkest songs they've ever done, and it has some of Mille's best screams!! Overkill's "Taking Over" and Testament's "The Legacy" are up there as well. Sacrifice's "Forward to Termination" and Holy Terror's "Terror and Submission" are my favorite thrash albums from '87 that weren't in the poll. |
