Alien Ant Farm is such a great band. I doubt they'd ever have found success if that wasn't their major-label debut single, but the band is much better than that song indicates.

I assume that this has been posted before since I didn't see it in the current batch, but the heck with it! The Sword covering Cold Sweat by Thin Lizzy. I've been cranking this song in the car!!!
And some ZZ Top!!!!!

Cold Sweat is a split 7" with Year Long Disaster doing a Sword cover and the ZZ top is from the Aussie version of Gods Of The Earth.
Also, there is a bonus track off of Warp Riders that is Japanese only called Daughter Of Dawn. I've heard a snippet and it sounds cool!

Neat-o. I look forward to their albums being re-released somewhere down the road with these songs tacked on as bonus tracks that I'm forced to buy for no other reason than to get them on cd.

Non Point has a killer version of In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins.
Also Stryper's version of Peace of Mind is killer!
P.S. I hope Frampton plays that at his concert I am going to take my wife to, then I will at least know one song! LOL

From the latest album, The Lay of Thrym. Brilliant version of that classic. That own that shit! And here's another great cover from the same album:

That version of "Stargazer" may be OK, but it is FAR from "brilliant" or even "killer".

In your opinion.
Which sucks.

"Stargazer" simply can't be improved upon. Even the drum intro is way inferior.
DREAM THEATER, with all their chops, did a pretty good job but even they didn't own it.

They didn't try to improve it; they did it their way. It sounds like a Tyr song there. I don't compare covers to the originals when a band at least tries to make it their own. If a band just does a note-for-note cover...well, you can do nothing but compare, right?

As much as I love the Beatles, this version blows theirs away...
This one tain't bad neither...
The studio versions a little better, but this was the only one I could find. And it could be a cover of a cover. I'm not sure that this was an original Beatles tune.
EDIT: The Beatles version of 'Hippy Hippy Shake' is a cover as well. Written by Chan Romero way back in '59.
