I don't know why but this one just weirds me out a bit but for some reason I just had to watch it twice:

Not 100% sure if this would really belong here since I'm not really sure what most people would call Primus. I'd still throw most of their work under the rock/metal umbrella.

There are some really crappy Priest covers out there, but this is not one of them

I wouldn't call this killer, but it's surprising. And it's quite good. I just expected goofy, you know. Well, the solo is a bit goofy, but otherwise I dig it.

Love the Tenacious D cover. They took it pretty seriously and that recorder solo is actually a lot of fun. I mean, the original had some fairly cheesy keyboard work on it so it's not like they committed sacrilege.

And since Dio covers are in vogue again, here's this little gem:

I always liked that song off of Dehumanizer and while this isn't at all metal, I think it came out really great.

I was looking for good "War Ensemble" covers besides the one that As I Lay Dying did (good cover by a band I love, by the way). I found a few, but none ultimately special to me. This one, though, I really enjoy and got me to check out the band itself.

They do some really good original death/thrash stuff.

Oh, my God! I didn't know that Gehenna did a cover of "Transilvanian Hunger." I should be surprised, but I'm not since they both came out of Norway and you can't have black metal without Norway and Darkthrone in the same sentence. Smile

I haven't heard this band in a very long time since MTV used to play videos. I was listening to Slacker Radio the other day on my phone and this song came up. Its the band The Used with members from My Chemical Romance doing Under Pressure from Queen. I didnt know who it was at first and I was very surprised to see who it was. Im not a My Chemical Romance fan at all but the bands did a really great job with this song. If this was already posted sorry but I'm not looking through 14 other pages haha.

There's lots of this Trve Svrf stuff about but beyond the novelty/joke factor, I really like this

I work with the drummer of this band, so this is partly a bit of promotion on my part.  I'm not a big fan of their vocals as generally there's too much screaming for my liking, but they keep it to a minimum in this song.

This is so good!

This is the lead vocalist for Elephant Mountain, ex-Brand New Sin. His solo stuff is really good.

I've always been a huge fan of Beth Gibbons (Portishead singer) voice so I kind of imagined this would be great and it is. Maybe not as great as it could have been, but still great  Very Happy

That's pretty cool. Portishead/Black Sabbath meets old school Hammer horror films Smile
