Superb album! It hit me like a ball-peen hammer to the face. They really tear it up on this one with more focus and energy than they've had for 10+ years. I would agree it's their best since FTUAB and one of their best ever. It's pretty shocking how good this album is really with not one crap track on it. Well done Overkill. headbanger

Ironbound is indeed a very good album. It was fairly new when I bought it, and I've seen it receive lots of excellent feedback from Overkill fans. Besides this album, the newest Overkill albums I have are W.F.O. and Wrecking Your Neck Live, so I wasn't into their later stuff as much, but this album really brought back the band's thrashier side. The title track, "Endless War", "Bring Me the Night", and "In Vain" are some of my favorite songs on the album. I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't own it already! Smile

Ironbound is definitely a great album, however for whatever reason when it comes to the past ten years or so of Overkill I find I still go for Bloodletting and Immortalis the most. But I will say the title track of Ironbound might be one of their best songs ever

I absolutely love Ironbound. It's easily their best in quite some time (and I don't think they're recent ones were exactly bad either).Picked it up in Arizona while on vacation.I had to wait awhile to get this one unfortunately because I just didn't have any extra cash but it was definitely worth the wait. All tracks are great but for me the standout is The Goal Is Your Soul.

Ironbound is a great album, and for some odd reason, it took me forever to grab this one up. I like many on here have enjoyed all of OverKill's efforts up to this point, but the band upped the ante on this one, so I concur on the thoughts that this is their best since "From the Underground & Below". In fact, it's better!!! The album is great from top to bottom. Favorite tunes are: The Green & the Black; The Goal is Your Soul; Bring Me the Night & Ironbound.

Favorite OverKill albums to this point:

1. Under the Influence
2. Horrorscope
3. Ironbound
4. The Years of Decay
5. From The Underground & Below
6. KillBox13
7. Necroshine
8. Immortalis
9. Taking Over
10. The Killing Kind
11. Bloodletting
12. ReliXIV
13. I Hear Black
14. W.F.O.
15. Feel The Fire

I highly recommend grabbing Taking Over, Under the Influence, Years of Decay, and Bloodletting immediately.

Killer thrash band. Overkill is one of the more prominent thrash bands who survived from the early 80's to the 21st century releasing nothing but pure grade-A Thrash Metal. Sure they've incorporated some groove elements to their current sound, but Dave's guitar barrage and Blitz's chilling screams would give any retro-thrash band a run for their money.

Overkill are really giving the newer thrash bands a run for their money. Ironbound is a masterpiece. I only need to think of a song title, ... and then I can hear it playing in my head. headbanger

"Hey baby, shine a light on me as I shoot across the sky;
Hey baby, I'm your Superman, and somebody's gonna die"

Overkill just keeps on truckin', and in April 2012 they unleashed their sixteenth (!) studio album, THE ELECTRIC AGE, on E1 Music in the US and Nuclear Blast overseas. As usual, the band doesn't disappoint. T.E.A. is yet another heavy duty chunk of bad-ass Thrash Metal (were you expecting something else?).

Things kick off with a nice creepy chug on the intro to "Come And Get It," and once the tune kicks in, it's all out gas-pedal-to-the-floor stuff from beginning to end. Blitz wails with the vigor of someone half his age; in fact I seriously think he's getting BETTER as he gets older. The current lineup has been together for several albums now and they've settled into a comfortable, machine-like groove. One of the things that jumped out at me when I first listened to THE ELECTRIC AGE was the insanely intense drum work by Ron Lipnicki. Don't get me wrong, Ron's always been a good drummer, but he's definitely topped himself here.

Fave tracks for me would be "Electric Rattlesnake," "Drop the Hammer Down," and "Wish You Were Dead," but honestly the whole album opens up a very large can of whoop ass. Between this album and the previous IRONBOUND I think we can safely say that Overkill are "on a roll."

As usual, reviews were ecstatic and the band is currently criss crossing the globe as usual, crushing heads wherever they go.

Overkill rules. It's that simple. Long may they thrash.

Yes! This new album smokes! No let down from Ironbound at all. It's nothing short of amazing that Overkill can still play with such ferocity and conviction after all these years. Especially after one considers how so many other thrash bands have crashed and burned.

The songs from Electric Age I've heard sound good, like Motorhead they are dependable and always deliver exactly what you'd expect from album to album.
