I just finished Mick Wall's new biography on Metallica. It was quite the revelation and I actually understand the band much more than I did previously. It also has made me reevaluate Lars and James and the choices they have made.

Check out the review here:

Thanks!

Just saw a great review for this in Sweden Rock Magazine. I might pick this up eventually. I loved Mick Wall's Iron Maiden book up until the Blaze years (it was released when Blaze was still in the band).

Just borrowed this from the library yesterday. I'm only about 50 pages or so into it thus far but it seems like it's gonna be a good read.

When the Borders in my town was closing down, I thought about purchasing this. Borders was only in the 20% off all their books stage, so I held off. I kind of forgot about the book over the next couple of weeks, so by the time they got to around 80% off on everything that was left, well it was gone. My problem is, I've already read at least four other books on Metallica. I'm at the point where I feel like I know them like the back of my hand. With that being said, Mick Wall is a very well respected journalist, so I wouldn't mind hearing his take on the band and their history.

I almost picked this book up at the library and based on witchfinder's review I will go back and check out it in the future, I like Mick Wall's writing and recently finished a book of stories he had printed originally in Sounds and Kerrange, very entertaining

BTW just read your book review, excellent job.
