Imagine this song as your intro or the soundtrack to your life. I think mine would be Priest's "The Sentinel" b/c everyday I feel like I have to fight and scratch to keep and protect what's mine in some small way. Although not as much as the title character has to. Sorry if this sounds really corny, but I think that alot of you guys here are very intelligent people and probably think of this stuff too. "Punk and Belligerent" by Warrior Soul has been my theme song since I was in college.

Before that it was "Teenage Lobotomy" by the Ramones.

Not corny at all, man. Isn't this basically why we all are fans of metal? Because there is something there we can all relate to on some level?

Can I give a Top 5 instead? (good thing you limited it to just metal!)

Off the top of my head, and not necessarily in order:

1. TWISTED SISTER - "Ride to Live, Live to Ride"
- I don't ride a motorcycle, so I take this song metaphorically as representative of the attitude I have to keep in order to keep on pushing through day after day after day... Mad

2. JUDAS PRIEST - "You've Got Another Thing Comin"
- I've never tired of this popular song for the simple reason that I love the attitude it portrays. i.e. The rest of the world might think I'm beaten and finished, but GUESS WHAT? :metal:

3. MOTÖRHEAD - "(Don't Let 'em) Grind Ya Down"
- The world is full of bastards and it seems like they all know where to find me sometimes. This song reminds me of just where they can all shove it! Twisted Evil

4. ALICE IN CHAINS - "Rooster"
- They still ain't found a way to kill me yet... What a Face

5. ATOMIC ROOSTER - "Decision/Indecision"
- A song about putting your life back together after everything has fallen apart. I've had to do this more times than I care to admit, but the song is ultimately hopeful that I will "find a way back home"

5. ATOMIC ROOSTER - "Breakout"
- Another song about breaking out of the "invisible prison" we keep ourselves locked inside of for most of our lives, because only we have the key. cheers

For a long time i'd say Paranoid - Black Sabbath... but i'm not really that depressed anymore... just dumped my ex because she "coulden't help me with my mind"

My new boss is a control freak with little or no heart it seems (she was giving me a hard time about taking time off when my wife was having radiation therapy for cancer for crying out loud!), so I have to remember that she's not worth the powder it would take to blow her own brains out every time I get wound up with rage towards her. Mad And yes, that Motorhead song is great for keeping her in her place in my own head! :metal:

That is ridiculous, that sucks that you have to get crap for that when you are going through cancer garbage. Some people just have no heart at all. Where do you work if you don't mind me asking? Thanks for the suggestion I will definitely check out that UFO song.

I work for the City of Phoenix, of all places. Rolling Eyes I'm keeping a log of all of her idiocy though, should it come down to it. Twisted Evil

"Forever After" by Troglodyte Dawn because its a remake of a classic Sabbath song but with great godly lyrics and Cheech & Chong samples thrown in just to show that christians can have humor, too. A little bit preachy and oddly humorous, and old school, that describes me somewhat.
