I'm a newbie Cher fan. I always heard her hits and liked em, but recently I picked up a few of her albums for dirt cheap at the FYE by my house. I gotta say, for pop - this is some good stuff! I like Madonna and a few other pop divas, so I wondered what I'd really think of Cher. Good stuff.

Anyone else wanna admit their secret admiration for this diva?

Greg Allman and Gene Simmons were quite fond of her at one time or another.

The closest I ever came to "liking" Cher was years ago, my friends and I went to see "Rocky Horror Picture Show" in NYC, and as part of the pre-movie "floor show" some drag performin' dude came out dressed as Cher (I swear, he looked SO MUCH like her that it was friggin creepy) and sang that damn "Turn Back Time" song to a TEE. It was amazing, and hilarious at the same time, cuz he was roaming up and down the aisles of the theatre and then sat down in my friend's lap and played with his hair while still belting the song. My friend, of course, was utterly mortified. We still give him sh*t about that to this very day.

I liked her as the mom in 'Mask'. She was pretty good in that. And the 'Sonny & Cher Variety Show' was funny. That's about as far as my "liking" of Cher. I think my parents had one of her solo albums from the 70's in their collection.

...and let's not forget her vocal cameo on Spinal Tap's "Just Begin Again" from the BREAK LIKE THE WIND album.

Her voice drives me nuts so I don't care for her music.

I liked her in the movie "Mask" though.

i dont really care for her either. I always thought she was a little on the strange side, dancing around on a carrier half nekkid with her son in the band...

I don't hate her like I do some of today's pop divas but I'm not a fan either. I actually like her acting abilities more than her music.

i just ignore the pop scene alltogether today.

Her single "Believe" is what started the Autotune obsession. Just thought I'd add that little bit of fuel to the fire...

In all seriousness, I never paid much attention aside from a handful of singles, so I guess I can't say I love or hate her. I have my guilty pop pleasures too so I can't be hatin'.

I don't mind a song or two, but I'd never listen to a full album. The fact that she was Gene's girlfriend, was signed to Casablanca Records, and even covered "A World Without Heroes" makes her mildly interesting.

I love her as an actor though!!! Mask, Mermaids, Witches Of Eastwick, Moonstruck...
