Yet another hockey player has died.

Wade Belak, who retired in March 2011 after a 14 year NHL career, has been found dead at the age of 35.

Horrible news.

I just can't wrap my brain around this. He always seemed the happy, fun guy. He just retired a few months ago, what the hell happened?

I remember him best for his funny interviews and awesome heavyweight bouts. He was a consistent top ten fighter year in, year out.

Terrible summer for hockey fight fans. Belak DID retire and wouldn't have been playing anymore anyway, but still you'd like to think fondly of popular retired players and not associate them with suicide months after retirement.

I'll at least try and remember him for his playing career. A good picture of him going at it with the Boogeyman:
