Forgot to ask, will you get any Phenomena, Ult? That's some killer AOR.

Weird, because they had many big names involved in their albums - people like Mel Galley, Glenn Hughes, Cozy Powell, Brian May, Tony Martin, John Wetton and Ray Gillen:

Also check Fate, the AOR band Hank Sherman formed after Mercyful Fate broke up, kinda similar to Europe, but with more guitars than they had in their AOR days:

Also, have you heard any Kane Roberts' solo stuff? That's also some nice hair metal/AOR...

Oh, and check Bon Jovi's debut, if you haven't. That one is pretty heavy for AOR in fact...I think you'd like it.

Phenomena is some kind of studio group, I beleive. Mel Galley is the main driving force with guys like John Wetton, Glenn Hughes and Tony Martin singing if that gives you a clue. I think that I have the first album... I should spin it, It's been a looong time.

Would love to add some Camel. Someday.

So many bands, so many CDs, so little money to buy them all. Haha! Very Happy

I would start with Moonmadness for these reasons:
1) Because it's good (I think that it is their best album)
2) It's the last album with the original lineup
3) It's the first one that I bought(not that that matters, but I'll throw it in there anyway) and a great introduction to them.

In fact, I'm going to listen to it tonight!

Yeah. Very Happy

Have you heard Eloy, btw? A great German prog band, kinda similar to Pink Floyd.

On your Favorites of 2010 page, the link to Jackyl goes to the Jackal page. Just thought I'd point that out.

Check this band as well, early '80s pomp rock with some similarities to Journey, but somewhat heavier.Unfortunately, their only album didn't get releaed until 2005.

Also check Black Sheep, Lou Gramm's pre-Foreigner band. I don't think any of their albums are available on CD, though...
