I like the Stephen King quote. Interesting interview.

Back in the 90s, I would enter flame wars and battle for DAYS! Haha. Some posts would take HOURS to write. It was so dumb.

I was wondering to whom he was referring. Certainly not anyone here...

Enjoyed reading the very short interview and I wish it had gone a bit longer, very interesting questions.

BTW what classic horror books have you not read that you feel you should have?

I'm guessing it rhymes with "Pooch."

Thanks, guys!

As for classics I haven't read, there are just too many to name. I haven't read all of Poe's stuff, nor Lovecraft's, Blackwood's, and a ton of others. A lot of it has to do with the writing style back then, you know; I just can't dig on it much.

But the rest comes down to time. I like to read a lot of different genres, not just horror, so I've read stuff by most of the classics, I haven't read everything.

I have not read everything by Poe and Lovecraft, and I have to admit it took me awhile to get used to that writing style, I began reading horror fiction with Stephen King and Clive Barker, so their style was almost like learning another language if that makes any sense.

Same here. And I'm not one that really buys that you have to read all the classic writers if you want to be a writer.

I agree, the whole point in being a writer is following your own muse and finding your own 'voice'.
