| Bump for news... | Quote: | CANDLEMASS will release its 11th and final album, "Psalms For The Dead", in June via Napalm Records. A limited-edition seven-inch vinyl single contaning two album tracks —"Dancing In The Temple Of The Mad Queen Bee" and "The Killing Of The Sun" — preceded the full-length effort on April 13.
"This record represents everything that is CANDLEMASS," Leif Edling states. "It is big, fat, epic and heavy, and it’s also metal as f*ck! We couldn't have done a better album! It's our last one and we put just all we had into it. 'Psalms For The Dead' is an album about the presence and absence of time, false prophets and inner demons....hymns, regret and farewell. Let there be doom!"
Other songtitles set to appear on the effort include "Prophet", "Sadness Run Deep" and "Water Witch". |

Yes he did. I left that part out of my original post, but the band will continue on with live shows...

How many times have we picked up a new album from an old band and stated "They should have quit a long time ago..."? Leif wants to go out on a high note with a great album and not get to the half-assed album stage.
They are breaking up, just not right now (kinda like The Scorpions). They'll tour on this album, then do the 30th Anniversary thing...then they'll pretty much stop. By the time all that is over, they'll be over 50...

To make it clear I do like Lowe and love Solitude Aeturnus. Yet he just doesnt work for me in Candlemass. I'm sure its just me, nothing wrong with him or anything |

I love both Lanquist and Vickstrom, they were great in Candlemass. Lowe just doesnt click, for me anyway. |
