| I recall seeing Bruce Dickinson's Chemical Wedding at WalMart once, but i didn't have any money with me. The next time I went in there, it was gone. |

Or in the middle of Ohio! Our local Wally World had the Surtur Rising CD/DVD combo for $10 and I passed on it. I now realize that was probably a stupid move and I need to check and see if its still there!
I also saw Dream Theater's Octavarium at a Walmart when it first came out. I already had it at the time, so I didn't buy it.
I did purchase Alice Cooper's Along Came a Spider at Walmart. |

| At one Wal-Mart a few years ago I saw Iced Earth-The Crucible of Man-Something Wicked Part 2.
In the early 90s, I got my first Maiden album Fear Of The Dark from Wal-Mart and when I was in High School (around '96) I shoplifted Mortification-s/t from Wally World. |

| | Quote: | | Speaking of selection, over the last year it seems like Best Buy is really starting to phase out their CD's. We have three Best Buy's in town. The two newer ones are smaller and have always had a crappy selection. The older one had a great big selection which they've moved around twenty times and condensed the space. Not even worth going to browse any more. |
I've noticed that in my area as well. There are 3 in my general vacinity, but I don't bother going there to browse anymore. If I'm going to Best Buy, it's for a specific purchase, like the latest Anthrax or Alice Cooper. Go in, grab it and get out. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

How about Target? |
I picked up the new Anthrax at the Target store near my office today. I rarely, if ever, shop there so I tend to forget about them as a possible place to find CDs, but a buddy of mine mentioned he'd picked up the Thrax there for 9.99 so I sez "Hmm, maybe I should check it out."
I'm gonna have to keep that store in mind for when the new Megadeth comes out next week... _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"
