PostSubject: Judas Priest in Vegas (Oct 23)   Mon Oct 24, 2011 7:07 pm

So last night was the Priest show here at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel Casino! What an awesome show!

We were in line so damn long and when I finally got to the front of the line, this asswipe security guard wouldn't let me in because of my wallet chain. I asked if I can just unhook it from my belt loop and stuff it in my pocket and he straight up refused. He's lucky I wasn't in a violent mood or he would have been bleeding profusely from every orifice in his body!!! So away I go to meet some friends I was there with who had a room in the HRH and they took the chain to their room for me. Then stood in the back of the line AGAIN. What really pisses me off it they will let chicks in with purses but a guy with a chain? I was IRATE!!!!

So I get inside and Thin Lizzy had already played 5 songs. They were one of the bands I was there to see! Well I got to see 3 songs anyways and one happened to be my fave by them "The Boys Are Back In Town", so that made me a lot less angry. haha

BLS came on 2nd and I despise them as much as I hate Pantera so I stood out in the casino for about an hour and a half talking with friends and making jokes as well as looking at the vast amounts of hot ass babes everywhere. haha. Amazing how such a band can have so many fans that all think they are bikers. LAME!!!

Judas Priest came on and this place was PACKED!!!! Where are all these people when a good band from town plays??? Still puzzles me to this day. Anyways, Priest were extremely tight and larger than life sounding. I made it to the 3rd row on the left side of the stage (The Richie Falkner/KK Downing side) and screamed my head off the entire 2 hour set! Fists pumping, horns raised, exhausted and in a lot of pain. But its Judas Priest so I HAD to! The light show was superb. The vast amounts of fire were a great additive too! I know Rob is 61 yrs old, but he has sounded way better the last time I seen him. Why do some singers change how the songs are sung live??? Really irritating too! At least this time he was looking at the crowd instead of the ground the whole time. That really made it all the better! They played a lot of my favorite Priest tracks, though I wish they would have played a better selection. But who am I to criticize the set list? I am sure they made everyone's night though. I wish that he would have really belted out those screams at the end of The Sentinel though.

All in all it was a GREAT night! I am sure feeling the after effects today though! hahah! I am still amped on the show!!!!

Awesome!!! I can't wait to see them next month!!!!!

On a side note, I would have been at that show, but as a single dad getting away and trying to convince the ex to switch weekends is an extreme hassle - I save those battles for my Maiden trips. A bunch of my friends were at the show and they all said it was great
