| We will all just have to wait til 11:11 am on 11-11-11 to really find out... but I sense a reunion finally announced with an album in the works.

I'll give it a shot if they AVOID outside writers/producers and let Tony run free... |

Tony has never worked with an outside songwriter who was not a remember of Black Sabbath, so I don't think that will be an issue. |

| I can just see Sharon/Ozzy pushing to have Kevin Churko or someone "new" produce/be involved...I hope that doesn't happen. |

| A new Iommi solo album with Ozzy singing on one or two tracks would be cool. They did this before. Would be interesting how big the input from Bob Marlette in terms of songwriting was.

Sadly, I could see that happening. Sharon dangling Ozzy's participation over their heads saying "We do it my way or Ozzy's not doing it at all".
Let's hope it doesn't come to that. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

The headline would then read 'Iommi impaled Ozzy, Sharon, and some douche named Kevin Churko with his guitar, story at 11'

| I can't imagine Iommi watering down his vision of the music he created, he has relearned to play guitar when his fingertips were cut off, fought off critical indifference, audience apathy in the mid 80's, fought Don Arden in court, won the rights to the name Black Sabbath, has come up with monster riffs for 41 years, and has been indifferent or unconcerned with radio airplay, made MTV videos that he later denounced as horrid, left Jethro Tull when he was a penniless musician because he believed in his vision of Black Sabbath, so I have a feeling Iommi is not easy man to sway when he has made up his mind. |

They do it like that, they might as well just bill the album as "Ozzy Osbourne (w/special guests Black Sabbath)". |

To paraphase a certain movie:
| Quote: | Listen, and understand. Sharon is out there. She can't be bargained with. She can't be reasoned with. She doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And she absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

I was thinking more of a South Philly guido that lost the keys to his Camaro, but cool nonetheless. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| I'm going to be in Hollywood friday. Might try to swing by the Whiskey for this. I'm not getting my hopes up for anything - just hoping whatever they have planned comes through and doesn't fall apart before then.
Count me in as someone who would love to see another Tony Martin record. |

| | Quote: | | BLACK SABBATH recently sent out invites for an announcement ceremony, this Friday, November 11th. According to the invitation, all four original members – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – will all be on hand for the announcement. The private event will be hosted by HENRY ROLLINS, and will be held at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA. |
Honestly, could there possibly be any other announcement besides a reunion tour/album? All 4 original members together to announce to the press that thanks to a recent medical procedure, Tony re-grew his fingertips? That would be pretty cool actually. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

I know you meant with Black Sabbath but Tony's last solo album (Scream) was pretty good. A few songs sounded like Martin-era Sabbath. He's been working on a new album for the last few years. He's been getting active on Facebook and recently started up a fan page (after maxing out his friends list) so hopefully we'll hear some new music from him in 2012. |

| The original announcement was going to be Lou Reed working with a reunited Black Sabbath but then Iommi remembered he already had a mumbling, rambling, silly old fart in the band. |
