Did anyone else watch this? What a game.

The only play that made me mad was on one of the kickoffs, and Mattheiu out of nowhere decided to grab one of the Alabama defenders and slam him down on the ground. It was totally uncalled for, and obviously was a penalty. He walked away shrugging like he didn't do anything....luckily the guy walked off the field only with a messed up shoulder.

Besides that, too bad Alabama couldn't hit their field goals. Would have won them the game.

Great game! A truly great defensive battle. Not low scoring because the offenses suck, but because the defenses were amazing.

Defensively, these two teams are absoulutely the best in the country, but from an offensive stand point, they're very marginal. The quarterback play absolutely set the game of football back years, and the play calling (specifically from LSU) was about as unimaginative as you can get. The designed runs for Jordan Jefferson are just atrocious. Don't get me going on Alabama's special teams. I mean, how the hell does Alabama not have a top recruit at place kicker? You're Alabama for God's sake. When you miss three F.G's and get one blocked, you deserve to lose. Even though I think LSU will win the national championship, because of their unbelievable speed on defense, I still think a team like Stanford, Boise. St, or Oklahoma. St could beat them. All three of these teams have a pro style system run by Q.B's who will all play on Sunday next year. Jordan Jefferson has ZERO chance of ever playing Q.B at the next level, and I don't think Jarret Lee's chances look very good as well.

What a bunch of overhyped crap that was. BORING!!!! Just what I want to see - 8 million missed field goals. Ugh.

at least its football - all I am hearing around here is the mess going on at Penn State.

That wasn't football; it was more like futbol. Just as exciting...

I don't understand what you guys wanted to see. Two of the best defensive teams in the Nation, wouldn't you expect a defensive battle? The defenses forced the offenses to be bad. That's what great defenses do. I like high scoring games as well, but that game was great in its own right.

You're right, absolutely right. However, IT'S BORING AS HELL TO WATCH!!! THEY SHOULD BAN GREAT DEFENSE!
