| Now I love female-fronted metal. It's a favorite sub-genre of mine, so I'm always interested in new bands playing this sort of music. Enter Crysalys. Just came across this online, so I clicked play... Good lord! What a complete mess. What kind of singing is that? Haha. To illustrate my reaction, I give you Moshzilla: If Crysalys was Moshzilla, then I'd be that guy behind her. _________________ "Happy people have no stories" —Therapy? | That song's not so bad. I like "different" as well, like MC666. From the neck down that chick is bad to the bone as well, but her face isn't so great. |

| That first band... The music was pretty cool. The singing was way over the top and then she went into a normal voice which doesn't fit at all. Maybe if she didn't over dub her vocals a hundred times it wouldn't be so over powering.
The second band was actually pretty good all around. _________________ |

| Aside from the overdubbing and questionable fashion sense, the singer actually doesn't bother me that much. The song's pretty meh-tastic, though, and the video itself is awful-bad.
There are more disturbing places one can wind up on the Internet, though...

| Good grief, that "Crysalys" video was awful! I couldn't make it past the two minute mark.
Bring back Jan Terri, all is forgiven!!

| I fail to see why this is any more "horribly wrong" than any other band in that genre. It's all horribly wrong to this asshat. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

She was entertaining, and had talent. As time rolls on, she is a million times better than what claims to be metal. |

At one point in my listening history, symphonic metal was my favorite genre. I love the fusion of two seemingly disparate styles of music. However, I eventually just OD'd on it and abandoned the style. I can still listen to it but I doubt I'll buy any new albums trading in this genre. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

I still enjoy some bands but toho is right - it is one really really oversaturated style. _________________ |
