Hi anyone here had or have Hemorroids?How long did they last and what did u do to get rid of them?I have the external type that is just at the outside butt area and had the since last wednesday.I use an oitment creme type stuff like Preparation H.How long do these last usually?

Maybe it's just me, but a heavy metal forum is just about the LAST place I'd go for advice on hemorrhoids...

I had a hemorroids, but then I broke up with her and the pain instantly went away.

I had bad hemorroids / sores (external AND internal) on and in my anus after I was treated for cancer.
Had them for quite a few months.

As bad as it was,
I consider myself fortunate, as another guy in the same treatment ward developed them IN HIS MOUTH, and he was supposedly a pretty tough guy, but he couldn't eat solid food, maybe not any food (IV drip) and was in so much pain, he had tears every day. Really bad scene the nurses told me.

One nurse said many after chemotherapy, many develp herpes / hemmoroids for the first time, as all people have it laying dormant in their body or something.

For the pain, was prescribed
codeine contin,
elavil /ami-tryptaline (also called elavil) (which also lifts your mood like prozac/paxil/zoloft),
and Quinine (though that was specifically for leg cramps, it helped all pain in my lower backside too.
Prescription was stopped later due to reports doctors saying quinine had bad side effects).

Need a box of medical gloves, the non-latex, like nurses use,
and before starting anything, a jar of TUCKS.

TUCKS are round pads like gauze, but are cooling due to being saturated with Aloe, I think.

Creams
were I rubbed /on, using the throwaway gloves
-Xylocaine Oitment (lidocaine) whicvh numbs the pain (my best friend back then!)
-ratio-HEMCORTIC hemmorhidal ointment
-Calmoseptine ointment
- polytopic (non brand name is Polysporin) .
Also a box of medicated pads with aloe on them

Dude went to doctor due to an issue in the rectum/anus area, itching and bleeding, ect. The doctor gave dude a prescription and sent him on his way. Two weeks later, dude goes back to doctor, angry...saying, "doctor, as good as those pills you gave me worked, I should of just shoved them up my butt"

Could also be not enough roughage in the diet, too much straining to do a #2.
