Obscure THRASH albums that you like as much as the more popular thrash albums.

I really like The Moshketeers - Downward Spiral. Have loved it since it was released two decades ago. What are some Obscure THRASH albums that you like as much as the more popular thrash albums?

I guess obscure is a relative word, but what I meant was, most people pick albums from bands like Slayer, Kreator, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Destruction, Overkill, Tetament, etc. as their top favorite thrash albums. I suppose it's anything outside those universally well known bands.

I've never even heard Dorsal Atlantica's Antes do Fim & Dividir & Conquistar, so I'll have to check that out. headbanger

This is really a strong area for me...

Sacrifice - Everything except Apocalypse Inside
Razor - First three and Violent Restitution
Assassin - First album
Deathrow - First two (especially the second)
Vectom - Both
Holy Terror - Both
Protector - First EP and full-length
Morbid Saint - First album
Kublai Khan - First album
Hallows Eve - First three
Hobbs Angel of Death - First album
Mortal Sin - First album
Forced Entry - First album
Devastation - Second and third albums
Destructor - Everything
Hirax - First full-length and EP
Wrath - All three full-lengths
Agony - First album
Blessed Death - Everything
Exumer - First album
Atrophy - Both
Hellish Crossfire - First album
Target - First album
Vendetta - First album
Sauron - First two
Paradox - First album
Deathwish - First album
Bulldozer - Everything except Neurodeliri

Does that give you any ideas? Very Happy I'd certainly love to discuss some of these bands on here a little bit. Almost all of these albums are in my top 100 favorite thrash albums of all-time, and I listed the stuff in a relatively accurate order.

Nice list Nico. Some good ones in there.

Another one I thought of is:
SACRAMENT - Testimony of Apocalypse
Might be somewhat well known on this board, but generally pretty obscure.

Overthrow - Within Suffering

I don't think I'd call Artillery "obscure". They're a second-tier band, pretty much. Likely because they are one of the most distinctive, original sounding thrash bands.

I find it hard to define "obscure" Thrash. Most of the mentioned albums would not fit in my definition, cause they're not that obscure to me. Here's one that I would consider to be obscure:

I believe thrash fans are some of the most dedicated in seeking out "obscure" stuff. I personally will buy just about anything if it falls under the thrash label.

Some I love

Hatrix - collisioncoursewithnoplace
Andralls - s/t
Dread - Brace For Destruction
Neurotoxin - Harvest Your Wrath
Warbeast - Krush The Enemy
Thornclad - Coronation Of The Wicked
Repent - Disciple Of Decline
Overthrow - Within Suffering
One of my favorite thrash albums.

not sure if 'obscure' is the right term but some that rarely get mentioned--and that I really love:
--atrophy (both cds)
--demolition hammer (esp.the 1st two)
--dissarray (the two I have are really good "sludgey thrash')

I would easily rank Anacrusis - Manic Impressions up with my all time favorites but with the exception of this forum I never can find other people who even know about the band

I wouldn't quite call that one obscure (it was released on Combat, which was pretty much the thrash oriented record label in the late 1980s/early 1990s), but it's definitely underrated. Completely awesome album! Definitely one of the best thrash albums of the 1990s.

Not as "obscure" as some of the lists already posted, that would be difficult considering the number of professional 'heads on this site. All I can say is that 99% of the population of North & South Carolina have never heard of these. Then again, that ain't saying much.

Rigor Mortis- s/t
Uncle Slam-Say Uncle
Powermad-Absolute Power
Demiricous-One(Hellbound)
Sabbat-History of a Time to Come
Municpal Waste-Hazardous Mutation
Laaz Rockit-Annihilation Principle
Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare
Hades-Resisting Success
Detente-Recognize No Authority

A few more I thought of:
Accu§er - Dependent Domination (this one will make my Top 5 of this year)
At War - Ordered to Kill
At War - Infidel
Dead & Bloated - You Don't
