| The first trailer for Ridley Scott's so-called "Alien Prequel," "Prometheus," finally made it to YouTube (legally) today... there have been some poor quality "leaked" versions on Y.T. over the past week or so but 20th Century Fox has been knockin'em down. This one looks legit... and the movie looks pretty bad ass!

Shouldn't be too hard. I'm an hour into it and really can't be bothered watching it anytime soon. Good to have Ridley Scott back on this, though. It looks fantastic, and a natural successor to the first film. Love the use of the 'alien noise' from the original too! |

| I've been reading about this thing online for months. I hope the execution is as good as the premise sounds. _________________ "Don't reenact scenes from 'Platoon' with Charlie Sheen."

| Oh, man, that looks fantastic. I remember seeing Alien on HBO as a 6 year old and sleeping on the floor of my parents bedroom that night. Still the scariest single movie experience of my life. No way I'm missing this one. |

| Glad to see FOX adding a little class back into a franchise that hasn't been classy since the 80's.

True...unfortunately, ever since "Predator 2" they've been hunting in vain for another decent movie to appear with their name on it. _________________ "Boys, set the terror level at code brown, 'cause I need to change my pants." -- President Hathaway, "Monsters vs. Aliens"

Did you not like Predators? I thought it was above average. What I didn't like about it, was where the movie took place. I didn't like the idea of a bunch of people suddenly being tractor beamed to a planet that the Predators used specifically for hunting. I would like to see a return to its origins, with an elite group of special forces working together to fight a band of Predators. It would be kind of cool to see Arnold even being a part of it. Obviously he's up there in years, but he could be like the Ripley of Aliens. In other words, Arnold defers to some of the tough young hombres, yet is still a very important player in the movie. |

| UP!
Here's the first complete trailer for the movie, Ridley had said the connection to Alien is being overstated. This trailer bears that out, but I don't really care because this looks amazing!

| The movie looks great, but hears the thing it definitely looks like an Alien prequel. The ship that crashes to the ground at the 2:13 second mark looks exactly like the ship that Dallas, Kane and Lambert go into at the beginning of Alien. They also show pods in this preview make it look like a prequel. Either way, it doesn't matter to me, I'm there. |

| It is a prequel to the first film, but Scott said that once him and Damon Lindelof (Lost) began working on the screenplay it morphed into a very different story, a story that has connection to the Alien series but stands on it's own.

| After Aliens, I never paid much attention to these movies. I saw Alien 3 and wasn't too impressed. I didn't even have the urge to see Alien vs. Predator. This on the other hand looks like it might be good. I'll have tcheck it out eventually. |
