Yea, I'm honestly surprised at how much I acquired in one year's time. Granted, there was quite a bit that was filling gaps in my collection, so I'd imagine that number will be down some in the upcoming year. And quite a few of those cds I got free from work when we made the switch to all digital.

Not too much was "new discoveries" for me. The blind buying was way down. I'm trying to be more selective, believe it or not. And out of all those purchases, there was only 2 albums that didn't survive the year. I don't remember what they were now, but I think that's a pretty good ratio, 2 clunkers out of 220. There might be a handful more down the road that get the boot. Time will tell.

Shopping on-line has just made it too damn easy. Like an album? 3 clicks of the mouse and it's yours. No more trudging out to the stores, trying to remember what it is you wanted and then hoping they have it.

Online is also better because usually I find what I am looking for, and keeps my impulse buying to a minimum.

my problem is being online has given me exposure to so much music i would not have heard otherwise. Too much music, not enough $$$$$
