For me, it depends on the month and what expenses I have.

However, at the moment it is anywhere between $140 to $200 per month on CDs. Although I must admit I spent quite a bit lately since I have been on holidays.

On average I tend to buy up to about 16 CDs per month though if the price is good I will buy up to 20.

Unfortunately for me CDs never come as cheap as they do those of you in the US. I buy everything online but I get charged with shipping fees which can limit the amount of CDs I can buy. However, it is still cheaper than buying a CD at a local music store.

To give you an idea - the average price of a new (or lesser known band's) CD here is about $30 (US). That is just 1 CD!

I can buy the same CD online (with shipping fees included) for more than half the price, usually about $12 (US).

It seems to be less each year because I buy fewer each year. Last year I'd say I spent between $75 - 100 per month on CDs and downloads.

I would estimate that I spent about £50 per month on films (Blu-rays and DVDs) and CDs. Usually a mixture of both but sometimes it might just be one or the other.

It used to be alot, hundreds of dollars depending on the month. Now maybe $100 bucks every few months. The economy and jobs have really made the past 3 years tough.

I prefer not to know. I don't set aside a certain amount. I just get what I get when I can afford it. It helps that I rarely spend more than $10 on any single cd. I'm a bargain hunter.

Probably $30-$50 a month...I get a LOT of used items...hardly anything brand new.

If you ask me,nowhere near enough. If you ask my wife,entirely too much ! I'm lucky if I plunk down $20.00 in a month anymore. I just don't have the extra income for it like I used to.

I don't keep a tally, and that's probably a good thing!

I don't have a set amount just a range I try to keep to. In stores I stick to cash purchases since sometimes it's too easy to put it on the credit card. I also limit myself for what I'm willing to pay for a particular CD. My problem is that the wants tend to be found cheaply in large waves at prices I can't pass up. Surest way to make this happen is to simply think I'm going to curtail my buying for a bit - instant finds on the cheap appear.

That's pretty cool that you can find stuff at second hand stores.

For me, that selection seems limited to ebay however I may well be wrong and not looking in the right places.

I'm mostly interested in seeking out first pressings / out of prints and I know that pawn shops are great for that. I bought Rage's Missing Link the first pressing from Second Spin about a year ago for like 7 bucks and that was a great find especially as it was brand new and sealed!

However I wish I could find more places like that - ebay is not really great because there are too many bootlegs and pirated copies around.

Probably somewhere between $50 and $200. That seems like a lot, but it's really all I buy aside from essentials like food and stuff. I have friends that spend $200 a weekend on clubs and booze, so there are worse things I could spend my money on.

I'd say about $500 or so a month depends on the time of year to. This time of years is slow with new releases so not as much.
