I think that's cool , 80 albums at once. But I don't know how practical it would be for me. I can only really savor about 5 - 6 new albums per month and it gets more challenging when I have 10 new albums because I normally only end up really listening to about half in a single month.

I bought a lot of stuff (probably about 30) in December and I've yet to properly listen to everything. I've listened closely to maybe 12 out of those 30 albums I got.

It's hard to justify, really. The reality is, now, that I cannot possibly listen to every album and give it my full attention. According to iTunes, I have 294.6 days' worth of music on my PC. That is more than my collection because I've downloaded a lot of those old, rare rock/metal albums, but regardless, I physically own a ton of music.

But I know at some point, likely when marriage and kids come, that my spending will dramatically decrease. I buy so much because I can, basically. And I want to, of course. I very much enjoy what I buy; there are no hoarder tendencies here, you know.

So when I slow down and buy at a normal pace, I'll have all this music to enjoy in the years ahead. Like I've said before, I've always loved shuffle, so now I have the coolest playlist around.

With the purchases of the Sabaton Live disc and the new Blessed By A Broken Heart disc I'm up to about a whopping $20 so far this month. Lately I've been spending almost that on a 4 pack of beer.

During the golden age of '05-'07, somewhere around $200-$300 give or take (I had pages and pages of want-list albums). Now I would rather spend my money on books, cigars, beers, whiskeys, and the womenz. I'm finding it to be a better investment than these shiny plastic thingis for the time being.

I like cds still. I really love music so I still get a lot of enjoyment out of the new music.

Out of my own pocket, I'm only at about $9 bucks this month. The rest of my purchases have come from Chirstmas gift cards.

Today's the last day of January and I still haven't spent doodly-squat on music.

I almost wanna go to Walmart on my lunch break today and root thru their $5.00 bin of CDs just for the sake of getting SOMETHING ....
