Excellent choices, hell anything by Jeff Beck

Throw in anything by Miles Davis. As far as rock instrumentals Yngwie Malmsteen-Rising Force, I know there are two tracks with vocals but mostly an instrumental

Billy Cobham-Spectrum which features the excellent Tommy Bolin

This one's one of my favorite modern-day Instrumental Rock, Ethan Brosch's OUT of OBLIVION ...Total GEORGE LYNCH worship, it's like solos from "Under Lock And Key" but completely detached into ultra-long ones

A criminally Underrated Rock Instrumental Gem, Vai and Satriani once admitted in an interview (I believe it was one of those Mid-90s guitar world magazine issues) that this is one of their favorite Instrumental albums of all time

Taken From Andy Timmon's EAR X-TACY

I like Satriani and Malmsteen, though I prefer the later. No-one has mentioned Michael Angelo Batio yet. I would say I liked his album No Boundaries, but i've never actually heard it, only some of the songs re-recorded with real drums for the album 2xAgain, so I guess i'll say I like that one.
