I've actually given up trying to keep up with their live albums.

Some folks here are excited about this news...

I'm not one of them, but that's just me.

The CDs I'm not interested in, the concert blu-ray I'm definitely stoked about however, I'll be picking this up.

Iron Maiden is the greatest live act to ever exist. They have every right to plant more live material in the market any time they want. I'm also a mega Maiden fanboy and have no problem shelling out for another stellar live release.

Can't wait!!!! Should be great!!!!! Of course, I did see this show 8 times last year, so.....

Personally I LOVE the fact that they are releasing a DVD almost every tour!!!! I love it when bands do that i.e. Rush, AC/DC and I hope they continue. I am sure I will pick up the CD for the completist in me, but I generally watch the DVD's more than I listen to the CD's of live shows. As SD mentioned, the blu-ray sound is fantastic!!!!!!

Hopefully Maiden will release DVD's of the A Matter Of Life And Death tour and The Early Days tour one of these days. Until then, at least I have the DVD boot of the Nordic broadcast of The Early Days tour.

FYI - Sam Dunn filmed it and it will have the usual Kevin Shirley mix, which is fine with me, his 5.1 mixes generally sound much better than his stereo mixes of the live shows.

Featuring songs from their last album....No Way, the heck, the songs aren't even 'singable' to begin with... can't actually remember how many times I actually pushed the 'skip' button on that thing before eventually putting it to rest

They think there's a market for Bruce's old, lower-pitched voice Laughing

Give me a break...Bruce still sounds awesome.

As for The Final Frontier, it's a fine album. Sorry you don't dig it but I think it's very singable.

Dance of the Death was the last album I truly enjoyed. With "A Matter of Life and Death" I gave them a benefit of doubt, but with "Final Frontier: I am totally out of sync with the progress of their musical journey. I still consider them to be one of the best bands out there - but for their older materials.

What Shawn said! And the people that sang along to the songs live at the concerts I went to would disagree with you!

If anyone is curious, the regular DVD is $13.99 and limited edition steel box (no additional extras, just the case) is $17.49. Oddly enough, the CD costs more $19.33

Still haven't picked up Final Frontier but I think everything up to that point was really good (the Bruce albums ,anyhow). I am not interested in the least bit with live albums though so I'll be ignoring this one too.

Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark, the Trooper, yawn. If ever they should have released another live album, it was for that tour when they played A Matter of Life and Death in its entirety. I'd buy that.

...and they wonder why people are out there downloading for free. It's funny how DVD's & Blu-Rays have been priced accordingly since their appearance in the market place, but C.D's are still priced to f*ck over the consumer. It's laughable...

Agree. Iron Maiden are great live. The set list is interesting. I want the CD since I listen more than watch music. I usually put headphones on and go to work, makes coding and the day go by quickly.

And in case you can't figure out from my avatar. I am the biggest Maiden fan on this forum. I can't wait for this Blu-Ray, especially since I saw the show 8 times last year
