I bought that Mentors album on tape, without ever hearing a note because Tipper Gore and her gaggle of bored Washington housewives, reading their lyrics during the Senate PMRC hearings 'Bend Over and smell my vapors/Your face is my toilet paper' nothing funnier then hearing stuffy housewives reading the Mentors lovely poetry.

I always thought it is the ultimate irony that a person with the name GORE would lead the crusade against use of graphic language in lyrics... it must have been a psychological issue for her...

Her maiden name was Chokesoncock, so Gore was a step up.

I find these list interesting, especially when someone lists 'Unmasked' an album I like but did not love, where Kmorg half way on the other side of the world, heard something in the album's grooves that made dig deeper into not only KISS but the entire genre of metal.

"Unmasked" was released in 1980, when I was 6 years old. The band also visited Norway for the very first time that year, so the whole country was KISS-crazy. While it were the songs from Destroyer and the Alive albums that were the most popular and best known, "Unmasked" was brand new.

Impacted? That's a tough one, hard not to just fall into your favorites. Haha.

IRON MAIDEN-Somewhere In Time
METALLICA-...And Justice For All
DREAM THEATER-Awake
BLACK SABBATH-Vol. 4
BLIND GUARDIAN-Imaginations from the Other Side
DIAMOND HEAD-Lightning to the Nations
PEARL JAM-Ten
FAITH NO MORE-The Real Thing
LIZZY BORDEN-Love You To Pieces
THE MISSION UK-God's Own Medicine

I tried to to pick from various phases/periods in my life. I went through many different ones and picked the album that I listened to most during that time.

You can see it all there, Heavy Metal, Thrash, Prog, Doom/Stoner, Power, NWOBHM, Grunge, Alt. Metal, Hair/Glam, Goth.

Indeed there are. There were some choices on mine that were no brainers, but after those were on, I had to really think and even post some albums that I definitely don't listen to anymore, but they still impacted me one way or another.
