| Saw a commcercial on VH-1 Classic over the weekend promoting this new coffee table book on Megadeth... http://www.amazon.com/Megadeth-Another-Time-Different-Place/dp/1576875970/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC?ie=UTF8&coliid=INWZTN4X3D61A&colid=1YY4NLP7T11YP I like these sorta things. Probably has some cool old school pics. I wanted to take a trip to Barnes & Nobel over the weekend to see this thing up close & personal, but never made it out. Anyway, just throwing it out here in case anyones interested in this kind of thing. It has lotsa pretty pictures and not too many words, so it should appeal to some of our friends here. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007

| | Quote: | Megadeth: Another Time, A Different Place gives the audience a front-row seat into the early days and meteoric rise of this young band who would become one of the most influential groups of all time and, with Anthrax, Slayer, and Metallica, consistently touted among the best “thrash metal” bands ever to cross the stage. This is the first Megadeth photography book and only the second book documenting their rise to rock glory, including rare, never-before-seen photographs representing a small but crucial period of time in their career. Hale’s photographs, from intimate backstage photographs to screaming, kinetic live shots, are the images of a young band prepared to take on the world.
“The ‘work’ that you hold in your hands now is the work of a friend, who is also a ‘photo-grrrrrrr-apher,’ and who has captured the very essence of my career: hungry, gritty, hard, cold, impersonal, personal, and very personal. Also, the sensitive unseen side of me, which was somewhat of an anomaly with the public and left me an enigma to my peers.” —Dave Mustaine from the Foreword |

| His Metallica photo book was cool. No doubt, this one will be too. Wish I could afford these things, but they are like skin mags and i don't waste money on just pictures. |

| The photographer, Bill Hale is a FB friend, not a person I meet in real life, and he seems to be a very humble guy, lives in Hawaii seems to be out of business, from the very few conversations I have had with him, he seemed to have lived in San Francisco are during this time, and he stumbled into a career. He happened to be friends with alot of the bands during that era and took photographs for fun, as he described he just happened to be at the right place at the right time. |

I looked for it in my local B&N the last coupla times I visited just so I could see it in person, but no such luck. If they had it in stock, I couldn't find it. _________________ A legend in posting since February 1st, 2007
