"Buy Or Die"

What does this particular phrase mean? I've always been confused in regards to this. Does anyone have a real answer? Am I expected by the seller or reviewer to pass away to the Great Beyond if I choose not to purchase such product? If I were to take the phrase literally, I would have been dead a long time ago, because it seems that the items this phrase is commonly used in conjunction with are often pure shite. Also, does this phrase apply to items only within the heavy metal community, because I would like to know if I am condemned to death when I choose not to buy the next Michael Buble album. Just curious.

Maybe you're dead already and just don't know it yet? Have any tow-headed young boys been talking to you lately while everyone seems to ignore you?

Someone was a poet, but didn't know it.

You could take the "Buy or Lie" route too and just say you've bought all these cds when you really only own like 8.

"Buy or Try" - downloading an album for free to decide if you want to make a purchase.

"Buy or Fry" - A diner option. As in "Go to Arby's or just fry up this bacon at home tonight?"

"Buy or Cry" - What happens when you turn down a lap dance from an ugly overly sensative stripper.

"Buy More Pie" - A common dilemma faced in a grocery store.

"Buy or Dry" - A common dilemma when offered lube at the massage parlor. The choice between a "Happy Ending" or a rough tug.

"Buy While High" - Now that Hostess is shutting their doors, a common dilemma for stoners at 7-11 at 2 am

"Bi or Guy" - Do I want vagina once in awhile or stick strictly to an all-weiner diet

"Bye or Dye" - I'm leaving before she suckers me in with day-glo hair.

"Rye or Tie?" - 2 terrible Father's Day Gift Options

They actually made a whole series of commercial for a company named Right Price Tiles, using the same soundalike thematic as you just did. Laughing

Side note: Just in case I ever decide to run for office someday (and the opposition digs this post up), I don't actually believe that people need to speak English or die

i think it's just a catchy phrase. meant to be remembered. to move stuff. with all the used cars being sold, i think it works.

I think its a lame attempt by some who sell cds to artificially hype stuff they want to sell.
