For those who may not consider Floyd to be a "heavy" band should listen to this. The locale adds to this big time. I had a bootleg VHS for years (recorded off of a PBS channel in So. Calif in the late 70's) The DVD is a vast improvement sound wise.

Yeah, I used to have a VHS dub of it. It's really, really good...

When I was in the Navy, every single non-Texan would use the steers and queers line (many of them from... California). I came up with that one as a retort.

Well, I guess I can buy that line of reasoning. I'm just bustin' your onions.

Considdering how much we all spend on music, I always get a chuckle when I see anyone's recent purchases and I see something "classic" on there.

Laughing very hard
lol!

I've done it, too. Haha.

Today:

Dropkick Murphys - Signed And Sealed In Blood (w/Digital Bonus Tracks)
Rossington Collins Band - Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere/This Is The Way (2CD)

Little annoyed that the deluxe version of the new Murphys album doesn't actually have the bonus tracks on the CD. It comes with a Dropcard. Laaaaaaaaame!

Aren't you just going to rip the album to digital tracks anyway and then put it in a tote?

Well, sure, until the mansion is ready. But that's not all that relevant. I can't download these tracks any time I want to. Legally, anyway.

Desolation Angels - Desolation Angels +2 - this is the Buried By Time and Dust reissue that just came out on 12/28. It includes the Valhalla 7" as bonus tracks. I got the vinyl BBTAD version earlier in 2012 and they finally just released the CD version.

I have the boxset from them.

Both of these are great. I'm interviewing Zuul in 2 weeks.

I've only heard a few songs over the years, but stumbled across a video on YouTube the other day, which lead me to other videos. Figured it was a good time to give the full albums a try. =)

Planet Metal Records. He has both Zuul albums. The debut is only $5 and To The Frontlines was $10 w/patch.

I believe I have them all. Unless of course they have released more?

I always thought this was in reference to Oklahomans? But DB, you should try to get to LA sometime. And not just for the music either.

No new ones, just all the studio albums from the S/T through Boogaloo.

If memory serves, that description was directed at Oklahomans in 'An Officer and a Gentleman', and towards Texans in 'Full Metal Jacket'. Take your pick. Laughing

Box Set - first 6 studio albums plus a live album.

I had been debating on whether to add Radiohead to my "physical copy" band list. When I saw this at the used store today in near-mint condition, I took it as a sign.
