I really have to give the marketing push for this film an A+.  Because they've chosen to just give little quick glimpses of G in each of these short trailers it really cranks up the anticipation factor.  Too many trailers these days give away too much from the film, the approach taken for Godzilla I think is far more effective.

Plus "our hero" leans in the camera and hollers in this trailer!

Damn, I just paused at 0:53 and couldn't stop staring.

You're right about trailers though; I've refused to watch many of them these past few years. The latest offender is the [unnecessary] sequel to The Purge. The trailer actually reveals a major plot twist.

The Purge was also incredibly cheap to produce, $3 million spent and just under $90 million at the box office. Any film with that big of a profit margin is going to get sequels.

At least they actually made the movie here in L.A. instead of going the cheaper route and shooting it in Canada. They were filming The Purge: Anarchy in downtown L.A. for most of January this year.

I didn't watch the first one and I'm not planning on watching the second one either, but at least some local folk got jobs out of it being made here.

Every trailer I've watched has gotten me more and more jacked up for this. Someone has obviously taken the "leave them wanting more" approach with each trailer, and I'll be dammed if it isn't working!! It's been a very long time since I have gotten so excited for a movie!

The Asian trailer here, and the most revealing overall. Also a confirmed sighting within...

The more trailers I see, the more psyched I get for this one.  Originally I thought it would disappoint me like "Pacific Rim" did and "hide" the kaiju with stuff like mist, night, water, smoke, fog...whatever.   But this latest trailer seems to show pretty clear views of the monsters so now I'm getting revved up for this.

Right there with ya!  headbanger  Will be in the theater opening day, and if it's as good as it's currently looking, I'll be buying the DVD or Blu-Ray the second it gets released!

I see in that link that the Muto creatures are co-created by Legendary and Toho films. I wonder if that means we could possibly see them appearing eventually in an upcoming Toho produced Godzilla film ?

Only because they didn't want to pay Toho for the rights to the Rodan name.  It does look like a cross between Gaos and Rodan (I always preferred Gaos in that Daiei vs Toho monster feud)

It reminded me of Gaos too. On a side note, Gaos was brilliantly rendered in Guardian Of The Universe.

Yeah, I think that movie is great.  In fact all the latter day Gamera movies look good.

I still need to see the following two. I saw the blu-ray 3 pack at Kmart of all places (really cheap, too. Under $10.00) and kept throwing out the hint around Christmas how much I'd like it, but...nothing. Probably because the wife wouldn't want to watch them.

There are actually 3 recent Gamera movies.  Besides "Guardian" there is "Gamera: The Attack Of Legion", "Gamera: Revenge of Isis" and "Gamera The Brave".  That last one is more of a "prequel" that has Gamera as a juvenile monster and is more of a return to the kid-friendly years of early Gamera.

I never heard of Gamera The Brave. But kid friendly? I think I'll pass on that one.
