Does anyone else play FF? I'm in my eighth season. I've finished all over the rankings throughout the years, even winning the whole thing once. But, even then I was miserable.

The thing is, I LOVE football, especially NFL football, and I never need an excuse to watch it. Now, however, I'm miserable on Sundays. Every game and even every play is saturated with FF implications. Was that my guy? Was that his guy!?! So on like that...

Winning merely brings relief and losing is pure torture. Worst of all, rooting for players to do well who are playing against my real favorite team? Ugh...

The only thing I like about FF is the draft and every 1/3 Sunday we have parties, but even then it's stressful and everyone is just checking their phones all day. I've been threatening to quit since the first year I played, but this year I'm really, really thinking about it. I daydream about quitting.

Anyone else have experience quitting? How did you feel?

I did it one season a few years ago. It was a money league I joined with a big group of mates. I ended up winning it, but decided against doing it again. I found it annoying when I had to root against my favorite teams all because a player or two from the opposing team was involved in the FF game I had going.

I used to play a few years ago and enjoyed it at first and even won one year. I really got to know the league and other teams' players which was cool. I felt like I had a good handle on the league as a whole at that point. However, I quickly lost interest in it and haven't played in a few years. I get invited to leagues all the time, but I never participate.

It sounds like you have lost all enjoyment in Fantasy, and if I were you I would quit doing it. Just relax and enjoy the games. If you still want to have some type of Fantasy experience, just do a pick 'em league where you pick winning and losing teams. It consumes a lot less of your time and picking games in the NFL is very difficult and challenging.

Must be hard to be a sports fan. Was never much into football TV watching, but playing it was ok.
The less active I was in participating in sports (besides school), the more I got into music.
Except for one year at work I was in a betting pool on hockey and was ahead,
until halfway through the season when my three best players were injured, lol.

I did it for a while, but it became to much of an obligation. I'd rather lie on the couch with a cold beer & a bag of Doritos & just enjoy watching my team constantly disappoint me.

That's my problem with all fantasy leagues.  Your allegiances become torn.  Instead of just rooting for your team you end up having to root for guys on teams you hate just so your FF team does well.  I work with a guy who hates the Patriots and Tom Brady as well as Barry Bonds and San Fran back in the day yet he had both guys in various fantasy leagues and ended up cheering for them.  I gave him no end of crap about it.

No matter how hard FF might be on the psyche - it is still easier than being a Vikes or Jets fan in real life.....

Or a Rams fan.  They keep teasing becoming competitive giving Dallas, San Fran and Philadelphia all they wanted before losing then actually beating Seattle.  But then they laid a turd like they did against KC.

I'm a Buffalo Bills fan, so I started Sammie Watkins and he did quite well, racking up over thirty points. FF makes football very interesting, especially if you support a losing team. However, it's about 95% luck and the other 5% is strategy, so I don't really care very much whether I win or lose-it's all so random... I'm the commissioner of a six man league, and I had a jerk quit on me, so I had that to deal with. The real distracting football for me is that damn Madden Ultimate Team for Madden 15.Basically, you build an online team buying or obtaining coins(buy playing games-most mini-games pay anywhere from 1000-3000 coins) to buy card packs, or use them in the online auctions. It's very addicting! I've never been that addicted to a video game before.

my interest in football in general is starting to wane. This whole ray rice thing really brought home the fact that these folks (owners and players) are really out of touch with reality.
