Not sure if this appeals to anyone here, but I posted it elsewhere so I figured what the hell.

Now that the boats are put away, I slapped together a video of some of my hook-ups (the aquatic variety) this year. Not a lot of big fish, unfortunately. I didn't use the GoPro much. I feel like a bit of a dope with it on my head, and the angle on my boat isn't all that great. (Who wants to stare at my saddlebags just to see me catch a bass? Certainly not me! Haha.) And many times when I did catch a nice fish and have the camera with me, like the time a friend and I caught about 40lbs of bass in an hour up at Sebasticook Lake in Maine, I forgot to hit record. =(

Anyway, here it is (choose HD for the best quality):

And here is a video of some pickerel hook-ups, because...well, why not?

Hopefully I get some better footage next year.

Nice attempt at making a fishing video interesting. I stuck with it for a little over 2 minutes. Which is 1:50 longer than I would normally last. Good job.

Whatever that song is in there kept me hooked SEEWHATIDIDTHERE but I gotta say you're good at what you do. Fishing and I have always had a very casual relationship i.e. heading down to the lake with a six-pack and some ciggies on a Sat morning with minimal tackle and piss poor results. Those are some big catches, props!

I was more interested in seeing the footage from the GoPro. We have one in work that we play around with from time-to-time to get some interesting shots.

That's a Buckethead tune called "Kar."

Anyway, I did more fishing than ever this year. I've always loved it, but this year I finally bought a bass boat. I fished 32 tournaments this past year, placed "in the money" in 9 of them and made $950. Of course, I spent $910 in tournament fees, but hey, I made $40 from fishing. Can't really complain about that. Haha.

Wish I'd known about tournament fishing when I was younger. I totally would have pursued a career in that! =)

It's a really great camera. The picture is crystal clear (it loses a lot of that on YouTube). The only problem I found with it is that you can't zoom. You can using the GoPro Studio software, but the picture quality diminishes. It's just not really made to zoom in. But I guess that's not the kind of footage people go for, so it's fine.

Another issue, and this is kind of impossible for them to "fix," is that when you use the waterproof housing, the sound records low and muffled. Of course I'm not sure how they could fix that without making it, you know, not waterproof. Haha.

Other than that, quality all the way.
