PostSubject: Dog Day Sunrise Release of Remastered Version of Outtayermind   Thu Jun 11, 2015 9:57 am

Dog Day Sunrise releases a re-mastered version of “Outtayermind” with OAG Management. This version was originally released on the band’s 2003 album “Seasons That Suffer” that was produced by long time industry legend Alex Perialas of Overkill, Testament, Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, S.O.D. fame.  The band’s entire back catalog, along with a brand new album is set for a late 2015 release. Vocalist/ Guitarist Matt Zurat explains “We decided to re-master Outtayermind after being away for a few years.  Outtayermind had great success in the early 2000’s and we thought it would be a good way to re-introduce ourselves before releasing our new album.”
The single “Outtayermind” is available on
itunes, Amazon, Google Play, YouTube

Dog Day Sunrise has been tracking their new album both at Cosmic Audio Studios in Frewsburg NY and in Raleigh, NC with legendary producer John Custer. The Grammy Nominated Custer produced several Corrosion of Conformity albums including Blind (1991), Deliverance (1994), Wiseblood (1996), America's Volume Dealer (2000), In the Arms of God (2005) and Corrosion of Conformity (2012), the Megaladon EP in 2013 and the 2014 full length “IX”. The COC track "Drowning In A Daydream " from Wiseblood was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2014, Custer received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Carolina Music Awards. Custer has been featured on the cover of the January 2014 issue of 3 Dot Magazine which hailed him as “The Indestructible Godfather of the North Carolina Music Industry". He’s also recorded/produced performance tracks with legendary drummer Roger Hawkins of The Muscle Shoals Swampers, Warren Haynes of The Allman Brothers and Government Mule.
Guitarist Anthony Manning discusses the yet to be titled album “We really wanted to create something that would be an instant classic. We are throwing modern rules out the window and not caring about what is relevant with the new album.  As a whole we are really focusing on getting back to the basics of what Rock n Roll/Heavy Metal is and letting our natural influences shine through. “
John Custer states, “Long gone are the days when humans endeavored to compose superior material that demands superior playing on instruments, as opposed to computer keyboards and executed that equation in grand style. Dog Day Sunrise has dared to stay true to those ideals that are not reliant upon computers. They are true musical assassins who write great material and play in upper echelon fashion.
